Artist Biography:
Jo Hormuth received her B.F.A. from Grand Valley State University in 1981, and immediately went on to graduate studies at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she earned her M.F.A. in 1983. Hormuth's work has been widely exhibited across the Midwest and in Europe in both group and solo exhibitions - and is found in numerous public and private collections. Hormuth is currently a graduate advisor in Painting & Drawing at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and is working on a major public art commission for Terminal #3 at Chicago's O'Hare Airport. She is represented by Gallery Kusseneers, Antwerp, Belgium.
