Birds, fish, cow chickens, snakes standing on a beach. Water can be seen in the background. A "pillar" of flowers stretches from the sand to the cloudy sky.
Tim Fisher is an associate professor in Grand Valley's Department of Art and Design, and is also the department's Assistant Department Chair. He received his M.F.A. in Studio Drawing from the University of Cincinnati, Ohio, and both his M.A. and B.F.A. degrees in Studio Drawing and Painting (respectively) from Central Washington University in Ellensburg. Prior to joining the Grand Valley State University faculty, Fisher served as a faculty member at the Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. On his work, he states: "The current work presented begins with the detection of curiously staged stories, events, or notions I have come upon. Anecdotal forms, symbols, and imagery are the flesh best suited to both reveal and veil the humor and misfortune of everyday tales."
