Historical Context:
Carolyn Stich is a children's book illustrator working and living in Holland, Michigan. She studied commercial art and graphic design at Meremac Community College in St. Louis and continued her studies at the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga. Stich primarily works in traditional illustration techniques, pen and ink with watercolor being her preferred mediums of choice.
