Historical Context:
David Kroll explores the relationship between humans and nature, and questions how human views of nature have changed over time. His art follows his belief that humans have degraded nature with an inflated sense of power and means of survival, while nature should be treated as a home rather than a resource. Kroll also explores how nature pertains to urban life.
