Working within ceramics, mosaics, painting and some printmaking, Mary Ellen McNaughton’s artwork is heavily influenced by both nature and spirit. Her work often has a mythological or fantasy theme that is drawn from her subconscious. This sculpture encourages the viewer to re-think the gender divide and inequality between men as providers and women has homemakers.
