Farmhouse and plowed field- cutaway. Dinosaur Skeleton on lower left corner underneath layers of rock.
Meg Perec grew up on a small farm on which she spent her childhood helping her parents do chores. As a reward for her hard work, her parents allowed her to keep whatever animal she wanted, and chose a horse. She recalls the hefty amount of work that was required of her in order to take care of the horse. She says that the amount of work that is required in the print making process reminds her of her days on the farm when she had to spend long hours laboring over not only her horse, but other daily tasks as well. Her inspiration for the images in her pieces are most often taken from her memories on the farm.
