Description:
Porcelain/ceramic objects placed together with white and blue glaze. Objects of various things including angels and firefighter pigs.
Historical Context:
This set of work incorporates post-consumer, mass-produced ceramic objects immersed in viscous glaze to create sculptural compositions. The fused and encrusted assemblages resemble objects found at an archaeological research site. The intersection of hand-made and machine-made is investigated through the use of multiple mass produced ceramic objects and glaze phenomenology. Daniel Bare is a Ceramic Technician and Instructor in GVSU's Art and Design Department.
