Abstract composition with a rug-like design. Dark blue and red shapes throughout. The background gradates from yellow in the upper left to orange, to blue in the lower right. Historical Context:
Ben studied in St. Lewis and after his graduation in 1953 he won the Fulbright Fellowship to continue his studies in Germany. He taught at the art department at West Virginia University from 1957-1999 when retired. During his life he was an avid painting and his works are in collections across the United States and Europe.
