Midsize model of a vertical model of flat blue steel with cut out shapes that look like streams of water. The various cut out shapes are brought backwards and forwards to give the sculpture its depth. Though they math the piece where they were cut out. Edition of 25.
Cyril Lixenberg was born in London in 1932 and later lived and worked in Amsterdam where he was an active member of the contemporary art community. Additionally, the artist was a prolific printmaker and utilizes silk screen techniques to create images that are visually congruent with his large-scale steel work. Lixenberg is recognized for his monumental steel sculptures, some of which are present on GVSU's campus and in Grand Rapids public venues.
