Dorothy Markert is a printmaker and a painter.  She taught herself screen printing, which has been her primary medium for her art. One of the main characteristics of her prints are the large blocks of color, which she believes simplify and strengthen her work.  Currently, she teaches printmaking at the Roycroft Campus Corporation, a non-profit organization near Buffalo, NY that offers extensive classes for artists.
