Map of the thumb of Michigan and the tip of Canada. There are pictures along the left, on four boards. There are red and black bees in the bottom right corner. There is an image of a man near the Buffalo area of the map.
Historical Context:
"Traveling, to me, is an interest not only because of the shift in the physical body from one place to another, but also the shift that takes place mentally when one enters a new environment which one is not familiar with."- Jodie Mohrhardt. In this piece, the artist merges her love for travel and her love for art. The result is a unique and abstract view of the area surrounding Lake Michigan's southern tip.
