Promotional poster for polish poster show with image of a man with a rock and text.
Historical Context:
The first Polish posters appeared in the 1890’s at the hand of outstanding painters like Jozef Mehoffer, Stanislaw Wyspianski, Karol Frycz, Kazimierz Sichulski and Wojciech Weiss. The were highly influenced by the works of art created by the French masters of this new art form of the poster. These artists were well respected and connected with the Academy Of Fine Arts and members of the Society of Polish Artists “Sztuka” (Art).
