Historical Context:
A polyhedron is described as a set of polygons enclosing a portion of three-dimensional space. Polygons form the faces of a polyhedron. These polygons are situated so that every side of each one is shared in common with an adjacent polygon or face. These shared sides are the edges of a polyhedron. Two edges meet at a point or vertex, so the corners of a polyhedron are called vertices.
