Portrait of Thomas T. Stewart White (b. 1835) with big mustache in gray suit sitting in green chair.
This portrait was one of six paintings by Rose Long who was commissioned by Cameron Troy of Dorothy Draper of New York City. The paintings were originally hung in the Lumbermen's Room of the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids, as each man had a connection to the lumber industry of the area. While photographs of the men were hard to come by, Long used historic records to give an idea of each individuals personalities.
