Robert C. Pew II served as chairman of the board for Steelcase, Inc., in Grand Rapids from 1975 to his retirement in 1999 at age 75. His career with Steelcase spanned over 47 years, starting with his employment with Metal Office Furniture and expanding from there. He played an integral role in the growth and success of Steelcase and has been an active donor and supporter of the Grand Rapids area for years.
