Wind Over the Lake
Tile wall mural; waterscape in semi-circle shape beneath arch.
"The concept for "Wind Over the Lake" comes from my own personal experience living in western Michigan which I hope is similar to yours. There are colors and conditions that are part of the unique feel of the landscape all around us. Lake Michigan to the west influences our weather, and it is constantly reported on the weather news. Because it is there, we have certain conditions such as "lake effect snow", sand dunes that shift and have beach grass on them, or intense and dense greens in the summer that spread their cooling influence on us all. The vast blues of the lake itself constantly change, and the nasty colors of an approaching storm are part of our existence." - Daleene Menning
