Historical Context:
Though Victor Vasarely is best known as one of the creators of Kinetic and Op Art, his early works also explore Symbolism, Post-Cubism, Gestural Painting, and Surrealism. His work has been exhibited throughout the world and includes more than one hundred solo exhibitions. His entire creation is characterized by great coherence, from the evolution of his early graphic art to his determination to promote a social art, available to all.
