Multicolored flowers (reds, blues, and yellows) in a blue vase with a white background.
Ronald Julius Christensen grew up by the seaside and calm flats of Hough's Neck outside of Boston, Massachusetts. He was strongly influenced by the changing colors of the sea and marshes, by the flowers grown by his father to earn money during the depression, by colors sometimes soft and subtle, sometimes bright and radiant. He lived through WWII, attended the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, lived all over the United States, painting. He once said that he was "a well shaven talented artist with an off-beat Brooks Brothers suit..."
