Historical Context:
Alejandro Pecorelli, was raised in Argentina, where his family's religious nature had a strong influence on his work. He works with mixed media, including ink, bronze leaf and wax seal. This work by Pecorelli plays with words from the German language often used within academic circles. Here a professor appears as a condemnable buffoon, who pretends to take the pulse of and interpret the Spirit of Time.
