Radha is the childhood friend and lover of Krishna and together often constitute the absolute truth. Many Hindu traditions view Krishna as an avatar of Vishnu while others believe Krishna is the "Supreme Being." Balaram is the elder brother of Vishnu and is generally acknowledged as being a manifestation of Shesha, the serpent on whom Vishnu rests.
