GVSU Student Molly Lane collects samples for water quality testing from Lake Michigan at the Pere Marquette Beach
The GVSU Making Waves Initiative creates collaboration and opportunities across campus among students, faculty, staff, and community. The initiative provides new opportunities to explore and investigate the many ways that water permeates our lives and the natural world around us. The GVSU campuses are connected to, and influenced by, the Grand River and Lake Michigan. Our geographic context and expertise provide opportunities for students, staff, faculty and the community to take a deep dive into the topic of water and to make a difference locally and globally through their research, advocacy, and leadership.
