Description:
Real photo black and white postcard with the portrait of two men on the front. They are standing in knee-deep snow outside a light-colored house. They are both wearing dark-colored clothes, hats, and gloves. The man on the left is holding one of the ski poles. The man on the right is standing underneath the two skis that form a triangle over him. There is a pair of snow shoes sticking out of the snow in the right middle of the image. The back of the postcard has the message 'Lake Placid 5/24/26 Dear Larry: Read your card and letter. Glad to hear from you. This will introduce the [????] of the Belmont. How doe the snow look to you? Chao." Sent to "Mr. Larry Murphy, Uptown Hotel, Broadway and Racine at Leland, Chicago, Ill." There is a red 2-cent George Washington stamp in the upper right corner and a postage mark that reads 'Saranac Lake N.Y.' and is dated 'May 25, 1926.'
