Historical Context:
“The [COVID-19] pandemic has influenced [all] aspects of our lives, especially the mental sphere - as you stay within the walls of your own apartment or house all day, every day. Sometimes you might wish the outdoors would accompany you indoors, as I’ve tried to depict in ‘Staying Indoors.’ By utilizing the motifs of lines and the symbolism of nature, I hope to capture the essence of the pandemic, and how it has affected our daily lives.” – Katherine Williams
