Historical Context:
Richard Brinn fell in love with painting at an early age when he completed his first landscape paint-by-number. Since then, he has set aside those tight constraints and studied fine arts, exploring mediums such as ceramics and oil paint. While figures often dominate the subject matter of his artwork, Brinn always comes back to his first passion of landscape painting. His landscapes are vibrant, pushing the boundaries of color and composition. For this series of paintings, Brinn visited the same location over three years, each visit taking in the location during a different season, paying close to the changes and similarities of each past visit.
