Historical Context:
Raymond Waites is the designer, creator, and CEO of Raymond Waites Design, Inc. His company creates furniture and “home fashions”, like rugs, lamps, chandeliers, textiles, bedding, etc.. Waites started on this path in the 1980’s but became a phenomenon in 1994, when his store opened in New York City. Within a few years, his products were being sold in American, Europe, and Japan.
