Medium:Paper and Heelball
Date:1970 – 1980
Paper and Heelball; Black paper and gold wax attached to a white paper. Long hair, clean-shaved. Bare hands. Sword and knife are both behind him. Standing on plain grass.
Wax rubbing of the funerary brass of unknown man. The original brass is located in England. These rubbings were taken by placing paper over the brass plate and carefully rubbing them with a wax crayon so that an impression was left on the paper. Many churches no longer allow the public to take rubbings of these historic brasses in order to preserve them.
