Paper and Heelball; Blue paper with black wax. Knight with rounded helmet on his head and lion at his feet.
Historical Context:
Wax rubbing of the funerary brass of John Chetewode (d. 1420). The original brass is located in the Church of Northamptonshire in England. The lion by his feet is most likely a reference to his families heraldry.
