Wax rubbing of the funerary brass of William Ludsthrope (d. 1454). The original brass is located in the Church of Northamptonshire in England. The large crown and dog that decorate the helmet behind his head are symbols from his family crest. The dog at his feet is either heraldic or a personal pet, it is unclear.
