Description:
Paper and Heelball, Brown paper with dark brown crayon. His family crest is repeated on the front of his armor and his arms- a pattern of pointed lines/ triangles. Behind his head is a griffin.
Historical Context:
Wax rubbing of the funerary brass of Anthony Fetyplace (d. 1510). The original brass is located at St. Mary’s church in Oxfordshire, England. The two chevrons on his clothing indicates that he is a second son. The Griffin behind his head is from his family's crest.
