Paper and heelball; black wax on white paper. Helmet with chain mail. Lion on his chest and at his feet. Sword on one side knife on the other. This one has red traces by his left leg and a bolt in the right hand corner.
Wax rubbing of the funerary brass of Sir George Felbrigge (d. 1400). The original is located at St. Mary’s Church in Suffolk England. He was knighted in 1385 by King Edward III and was given the title “Lieutenant of the Court of Chivalry”. He was married twice and had two sons whose names are not known.
