Crayon and heelball; Black paper with gold wax. Pointed helmet with chain mail around his neck. Lion at his feet. Pointed scaled feet. Dot pattern on his thighs.
Wax rubbing of the funerary brass of Sir William Cheyne Esquire (D. 1375). Original brass is located at St Mary’s Church in Beauchamp Buckinghamshire, England. His legs are covered in brigandine- small steel plates that are laced together and riveted creating a unique pattern in the brass.
