Calavera de Don Quijote (Skull of Don Quijote)

Artwork
Medium:
Reproduction of a Restrike Print
Date:
2004
Dimensions:
Artworks - Height: 6" Width: 10"
Description:
The title "Calavera de Don Quijote" means "Skull of Don Quijote". The image is black and white without borders. This is probably in reference to the famous character Don Quijote, from the book "Don Quijote de la Mancha" by Miguel de Cervantes. It features a skeleton wearing a hat and holding a spear riding a horse skeleton, riding to the right. They're surrounded by tons of little skeletons running on their hands and feet. Some are being trampled by the horse.
