Description:
Colored photograph of a man with a cane, wearing red, standing in an open field.
Historical Context:
"During my study abroad trip to Tanzania, we went on a four day safari in the Serengeti.  Many people from the indigenous Maasai tribe still live on the conservation land surrounding the national park.  I captured this picture of a Maasai man walking across a field near his village.  He is wearing the traditional red shuka worn by the Maasai people." - Madelyn Johnson
