The La Grande Vitesse public sculpture by artist Alexander Calder, captured in this photograph, is located within a large concrete plaza surrounding City Hall and the Kent Count Buildings in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The sculpture has became a symbol of Grand Rapids since in installation in 1969.
