The Expressive Arts Program at Spectrum Health, provides residents and patients a way to relieve anxiety - aiding their physical, mental and emotional recovery. Spectrum Health offers a variety of creative opportunities to express one's individuality, imagination and emotions. They provide programs in visual, musical, performing, literary and multidisciplinary arts. Under the direction of a professional artist, patients and residents are able to participate in a therapeutic art program. The studio program promotes an individual's ability to think creatively, use judgement and make decisions. It utilizes concentration, problem solving, visual perception and fine motor skills.
