Historical Context:
"As I look into my past and wonder where life begins and how I was sought out to belong to the family of my higher powers choosing...I look at life through new eyes and see the passion that the earth can bring. Of the four elements fire, air, water, earth, earth is the one I have always been aware of, carrying me through distressed times. In the beauty of her forms and colors I sought and received solace as a child. When there was total distress in my house I went outside, smelled the earth, walked on the ground, and gradually received some of her solidarity. So look at mother nature's beauty and be blessed" - Debra Dieppa
