Historical Context:
"Tingari dreaming" refers to men who travelled the land in the dreamtime performing ceremonies and other rituals in which they created and modified features of the landscape. The concentric circles are secret-sacred sites in the Great Sandy Dessert. The collective area is called Kaanburda. The lines are the weapons carried by the Tingari men on their travels.
