paw prints going left and right and turning into human footprints at the edges of the canvas. three rows of three circles cover the rest of the canvas
The concentric circles in this painting are based on sacred sites and home camps on the Newman Station, which is where artist Roslyn Abott Napanangka's father was born. The association of birthplace and land, links the family to the dreaming stories of that area. They are considered descendants of the Dingo men ancestors who lived in the Newman area in the dreamtime.
