Historical Context:
In 2015, Sean Hamilton had his Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) exhibition titled “Nothing Personal.” The exhibition included illustrations and prints that “unraveled environmental and social conflicts.” On this image Hamilton reflects, “what once were mountains, are now fields of dust and ash.”
