Historical Context:
Spectrum of Life: "Many people were told growing up that they need to be themselves. Then it seems that as soon as we figure out who that is, life starts. We have to act a certain way, dress a certain way, or fit into certain stereotypes for jobs or family. We spend so much time becoming an individual, only to end up where we began. This series shows the progression from social conformity moving toward individuality and the slip back into conformity through color." -Natasha Yeager
