"Juxtaposed next to these rather immense, ornate, and aged environments I sensed a stillness that leaned toward suffering and anticipation. The beauty I encountered whispered of age and effort, of lives lives and times past, of flames forming colored glass and wicked candles, stone being chiseled and wood carves, alongside lives where breath was taken in and sometimes held. Help in anticipation of the unknown, of mystery. A beauty that could not be grasped or used or contained, but would, in its time, fade away and be gone, as a sunset when darkness settles in.
