Description:
Painting is made up of 1" x 1" squares painted to depict a still-life scene. Two potted ferns sit upon a yellow tablecloth while other items are assembled in front of them on a white tablecloth. A green pear is depicted in the bottom left corner.
Historical Context:
"This painting was produced using only one-inch squares of color. This process of building piece by piece causes the image to look pixelated. There are multiple ways to view this, and sometimes it can be beneficial to step back and squint one's eyes to let the squares melt together." -Robyn Knoper
