Mesa Verde National Park protects nearly 5,000 archaeological sites including 600 cliff dwellings belonging to the Ancestral Pueblo people who made this site their home from approximately AD 600 to 1300. Spruce Tree House is the third largest cliff dwelling at Mesa Verde National Park. With nearly 130 rooms, this dwelling is thought to have housed 60 to 80 people.
