Historical Context:
Larry Blovits is well-known for excellence in painting oil and pastel portraits, landscapes as well as teaching. He received his BFA and an MFA at Wayne State University in the 1960s, and later became a professor of the arts at Aquinas for twenty-six years. His passion has always been for painting the human figure.
