Historical Context:
"Confidence is a feeling of self-assurance of one's own abilities or qualities. Lack of confidence is a hurdle everyone should conquer. There is a rise and there is a fall to overcoming fears. The fears could be large of minuscule, but the amount of confidence gained from a fight is the same. To become confident is to become comfortable with vulnerability. The intention of this body of work is a way of coping with these fears and vulnerability, which in turn elicits hidden emotions from the viewer." -Sarah Kraft
