Historical Context:
"I use art as a way to explore imagination, fantasy, and dreams. In my work I find a way to ground these ideas with a hint of reality, allowing these abstract concepts to become relatable to the viewer in their own personal way. By allowing myself to see more than what is actually there and then realizing the image through an artistic process, I transform my fantasies into realities. The initial inkblots that my work often starts from can represent the objective situations in life, while the addition of pen expresses my subjective way of experiencing them." -Jordan Hartz
