For the past 20 years, Josh Garber has created work that examines the contrasts of industrial materials with fluid forms, simple forms juxtaposed with a complex whole, and repetition to create a spontaneous sculpture. This trademark style developed from a fascination of the intricate patterns found in the molecules of neurology and microbiology, as well as in the machinations of technology. Garber has spent his career working with all kinds of metals to create these interlocking shapes, which he believes demonstrate the sculptural expression of human gestures and an overall feeling of playfulness.
