Historical Context:
"I am a part time Elementary and M.S. Art Teacher at Northpointe Christian Schools and a full-time mother of two boys. I began painting about a year ago as a replacement for therapy and to recover from postpartum, and have found the process of art that I do to be better than therapy and also spiritual. I work on Claybord applying a layer of acrylics for texture and image, then a layer of oils rubbed on top. I can also etch into or remove the acrylics to create shapes and lines. Many of my works are based on the worship experience I am having; in other words they are liminal or subconscious experiences which feel to be blessings when finished. I want to share these worship experiences!" -Nora Faber
