Historical Context:
The original painting is at the British Museum. The scene, created with ink on silk, represents the Seven Gods of Good Luck at Enoshima. Benzaiten is featured seated on ox, taking ride along Shichiri-ga-hama, accompanied by remaining Lucky Gods and Chinese boys. At a distance, Mt Fuji can be seen directly behind Enoshima.
