Historical Context:
"Simone Hudon studied at the Ecole des beaux-arts du Quebec (EBAQ) under H. Ivan Neilson, who taught her etching, and Lucian Martial, who was her professor of drawing, painting and decoration. Purchased at the Musee national beaux-arts du Quebec. She was a member of the Canadian Society of Graphic Art, and her work has been exhibited many times, in both North America and Britain. Hudon is well-known for her illustration of the book entitled 'Au fil des cotes de Quebec' which was completed for the Canadian Centennial in 1967." - From the Canadian Women Artists History Initiative website.
